Debriefing (Foundation)
3.5 Day Course (In Person)
Prerequisites:
1 day reading and pre-assessment.
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for those wanting to obtain reliable, unbiased information from people through overt interactions for the purposes of threat reporting and strategic insight. This course is excellent training for journalists, investigators, lawyers and international NGOs especially those involved in the pursuit of truth and justice.
What’s involved?
The training will cover the latest research and best practice from the sector and provide practical training to develop the skills of interviewing.
1.5-day additional course on interviewing people exposed to trauma. Eyewitnesses, victims, survivors. Particularly, important for war crimes and human rights investigators, journalists and security professionals.
Human Source (Foundation)
4 Week Course (Residential)

Pre-requisites:
Attendees must have successfully completed the ‘Debriefing (Foundation)’ course and the, ‘Intelligence Analysis Foundation’ course.
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for those wanting to obtain reliable, unbiased information from human sources for example: eyewitnesses, victims, survivors, local nationals, stringers and fellow organisations.
What’s involved?
This course builds on ‘Debriefing (Foundation)’ but training the management of networks and medium to long term relationships, both in person and remotely.
Human Source (Advanced)
4 Week Course (Residential)
Nationality and travel caveats apply.
Pre-requisites:
Attendees must have successfully completed the ‘Interviewing Fundamentals’ course and the ‘Human Source Foundation’ course as well as SAFE (for Field Roles).
Attendees must also be certified as being medically fit to attend, undergo a 2 day pre-assessment (physical, legal and psychometric ) and 1 day reading.
Who’s it for?
This course is for those operating in high threat environments and responsible for human sources and networks. Be they individual contractors, stringer networks, local nationals or sources you have a discreet relationship with.
What’s involved? This course will cover the practical elements of managing human sources at pace, at reach in demanding circumstances.
Human Source (Manager)
2 Day Course (Remote)

Pre-requisites:
Attendees must have successfully completed the ‘Interviewing Fundamentals’ course, and the ‘Human Source Foundation’ course as well as SAFE (for Field Roles).
Who’s it for?
This course is for those that manage operations involving human sources and/or hold duty of care for human networks. secure intelligence. Ideal for editors, security managers, operations managers or team leaders.

This course provides the extra accreditation to control and manage complex human source activity.
